Mixed Fortunes

Lucky Louie getting a well deserved wash down

The season has been one of mixed fortunes the horses remain in good order but just aren’t getting their heads in front as much as we would like

Tip Two Win ran a great race at Royal Ascot but things just didn’t go his way he was very keen early on then found himself further back than ideal he made a big effort to get into a challenging position but had used a lot of energy doing so he lost 3rd on the line which was gutting but he ran his heart out yet again.

The Lennox at Glorious Goodwood is his next engagement.

Lucky Louie managed to notch his second win of his career at the Newbury at the end of June he returned there on Thursday to finish in his favourite spot 2nd, to be fair he was keen early doors then Rossa probably should have got after him sooner than he did he was gaining on the winner but didn’t quite get there but what a consistent chap he is he is rarely out of the placings.

Look Surprised came back at Newbury at the beginning of July to run a great race to finish 3rd she followed that up 16 days later to finish 2nd at Bath where she was a little unlucky in running tonight she headed to Salisbury and got the win she so deserved under a cool ride from William Cox.

Blistering Bob returns to Windsor on Monday where he was robbed of a win finishing 4th beaten 1/2 a length after getting in all sorts of trouble so fingers crossed he gets a clearer run this time.

Tuesday we head for Goodwood with Ernie so let’s hope it’s a day to remember
