Great Run

Today saw us heading to Bath with Pucon after her latest success the handicapper had seen fit to raise her 8lb and with a wide draw it looked a tough ask, as usual Pucon was fast away and Adam managed to get her across to bag the rail, around 2 out she looked like she had the field off the bridle but the pack closed and she was caught close home after battling well she went down by a short head and a nose a very gutsy performance.

Tomorrow Johnny Splash and Ormering head to Lingfield Johnny is fitted with blinkers and dropped back in trip and Ormering has first time cheek pieces.

Our recent claim at Wolverhampton Layla’s Hero makes his debut at Chepstow for us on Thursday hopefully they get some rain.

Lucky Wolves

Wolverhampton was our destination today with Langley Vale and it certainley is our track of the moment, a visor replacing cheek pieces and down in grade he finally put his home work into practice, I ride Fred at home and he is a little bit of a softy but hopefully getting his head in front today will give him a confidence boost.

Tomorrow Rosie Royale steps up to 2 miles at Lingfield we are confident of her staying the trip and she is in fine form so let’s hope she proves us right.

Thursday its a night out at our local track Newbury with Jack of Diamonds he has been working well and we are looking forward to a good run, Miss Mayson a 2yr old filly will accompany Jack to Newbury and is making her debut she is a lovely filly and is pleasing us at home Newbury is a nice track for a first run so let’s hope she enjoys it.

Berkeley Vale is most likely to head to Ascot on Friday and High Acclaim has an entry At Ascot on Friday and Newmarket Saturday but we are yet to make a decision on where he runs.

Double Bubble

Last Tuesday saw us heading for Wolverhampton with The Tichbourne and Miss Lillie both had been in great form all year so hopes were high for a good run from them both.

First up was The Tichbourne now owned by myself and Roger we had enlisted the services of Kevin Lundie who has been coming in to ride out for us for a few months and had recently finished 3rd on Swot he was led up by Georgie having her first time at the races who has been working weekends for us since our move to Lambourn and who had recently started Full time, The Tich didn’t disappoint and Kevin gave him a great ride kicking clear turning for home and winning well, unfortunately he was claimed after the race we were all very sad as he had been with us since a foal and we miss him greatly but we understand he has gone to a home that will care for him well.

Miss Lillie stepped up an hour later and didn’t disappoint she won nicely to give us our 2nd double of Rogers training career a trip to our local The Swan to celebrate with the staff was a must on our return.

Stonemadforspeed headed to Worcester on Wednesday with Harry on board, on leaving the ground was good which was fine but just our luck the heavens opened 40 minutes before the race and continued to fall up to the start of the race and the going was changed to soft which wasn’t ideal but he ran a cracker to finish 3rd staying on up the home straight.

a quiet few days until Tuesday when we head back to Wolverhampton with Langley Vale, a visor fitted we are hoping he can bring his home work to the track
