Good run continues

All the horses remain in good form on Monday we headed to Brighton with 2 runners Ormering was having her first run of the season, although a few weeks earlier than Rog would have wanted but there wasn’t any races for her she still hasn’t come in her coat due to the changing weather but she ran a cracker to finish 3rd Tom reported that she hated the track and that was obvious for all to see but she stuck her head out and battled on, Rog has always liked Ormering and last year she was very weak and didn’t take her training or running well, she will never be a robust filly but she seems to be happier in her work and more settled with life so hopefully she has an exciting year ahead.

Miss Lillie was our 2nd runner of the day and she also hated the track but ran very well to finish 3rd she was a little keen early and didn’t handle the down hill but battled on up the hill well.

Today Tuesday saw us back jumping at Wincanton with Stonemadforspeed he had finished 3rd at Southwell on his last start on  ground he hated so we were hopeful of a good run on a sounder surface, he got a lead over the first couple but was very keen so Harry let him bowl on in front which he seemed to love he just got collared on the run in but battled back well to go down by a neck pulling 14 lengths clear of the 3rd, Harry gave him a great ride and he will come on for the run as we had to ease off him 3 weeks ago due to a slight cough.

Day off Wednesday then Salisbury on Thursday with Lucky Louie he is in good heart so let’s hope he can improve on his 2nd at Bath.

Rosie Royale is entered Friday at Newbury she does need a few to come out so here’s hoping as she too is in good heart.

Wolves Winner

Jack of Diamonds gave us our 2nd winner in 2 days last Wednesday at Wolverhampton a track he seems to like, Rob Winston gave him a superb ride and he won nicely.

Pucon headed to Lingfield on Thursday we had stepped her up to 6 furlongs a trip she has won at but really does test her stamina unfortunately it wasn’t to be as usual she pinged the gates and got the lead but she had one sit on her girth pushing her to do too much, Liam knew his fate and and wasn’t over hard on her, back to 5f it is.

The old Stalwart of the yard The Tichborne was at Lingfield Friday to run in a seller, he was in great form at home and we were confident of a big run and he didn’t disappoint finishing 2nd the winner won well and we gave it 8lb, in a handicap we would have received 9lb so all in all a good run from the old boy.

No runners over the Weekend but Monday we are off to Windsor for our first visit of the season with Swot he is a knew recruit to the yard and we have had him about 3 weeks, he has settled in well and is pleasing at home so fingers crossed he can put his best hoof forward.

The rest of the week is quiet with no runners.
