The Week Ahead

Today Howaboutnever was due to have his 2nd start for us at Plumpton but unfortunately the meeting was abandoned after 22m of overnight rain real shame as looked a nice race for him and he seems in fine form, he will now head to Wincanton on 4th April.

Tuesday 29th we head for Southwell where we hope Stonemadforspeed can redeem himself after his antics at Huntingdon, Harry rides and we are hoping for a good run he worked and schooled well on the Lambourn gallops on Saturday.

Wednesday sees Pucon return to Lingfield Liam Kinery has been booked to ride he has won on her so let’s hope he can work the magic.

Friday looks to be a busy day at Lingfield with 3 runners Berkeley Vale and Langley Vale make theirs seasonal reappearances Roger couldn’t be more pleased with how they have both wintered Berkeley Vale is finally filling his frame and looks amazing, Langley Vale seems to have developed aswell and looks like a proper sprinter now and he has never seen him look so well so hopefully they can both put up a decent performance, due to the lack of races we have to run The Tichborne in the same race as Berkeley Vale and back to his favoured trip of a mile we are hopeful of a big run he continues to be in fine form and we would settle for a 1, 2.

Quiet week

Not much going on this week no runners until Jack of Diamonds who is entered on Saturday at Wolverhampton.

Off for a nice day out to the Cheltenham festival on Tuesday so hopefully can back a few winners

At long last

imageFirstly I would like to apologise for the length of time it has taken us to update the website but as you can imagine life has been a little hectic since our move to Great Shefford in December but I am happy to say we finally seem to have settled in, the horses have all settled in well and seem to be loving their new surroundings.

It has taken us a little while to get used to the new gallop and what is best for the horses but over the last few months everything seems to have fallen in to place and we have had 4 winners in the last 3 weeks, kick starting the winners was our old favourite The Tichborne under Jack Mitchell at Lingfield on 19th Feb it was fantastic that he was our first winner from the new base as he has been with us since he was a foal, he had an injury which kept him off the track for around 18 months and it was great to see him back in the winning way, next up was Miss Lillie at Lingfield on 24th Feb this was a very proud day as my son Harry was on board having finished 2nd on her at Wolverhampton we decided to step her up to 1m 2f he gave her a fantastic ride and they won well this was Harry’s first success under rules and it was a great day, Jack of Diamonds headed to his favoured Wolverhampton on 2nd March after a good run on his previous start we were confident of a big run Rob Hornby was due to ride  but he got stuck in traffic and arrived too late Callum Shepherd stepped in and gave him a superb ride to win nicely, our 4th winner came over the jumps at Newbury last Saturday 5th March with Howaboutnever we had Purchased him from the February sales to help kick start Harry’s career and the little horse couldn’t have done it better a 20k race on channel 4, Harry gave him a superb ride and the Teal family couldn’t have been more happy as I’m sure was our local The Swan when we turned up on mass to celebrate.
